Datuk Jamaludin Nasir was appointed to the Board on 14 November 2024 as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Datuk Jamaludin Nasir has nearly 40 years of extensive experience in financial services, including business origination and syndication, credit and risk management, and group leadership in retail, commercial, corporate, and investment banking. Throughout his career with both local and international banks, he has held numerous senior leadership roles at Asian Finance Bank (now MBSB Bank), Maybank, Dresdner Bank AG, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and Kwong Yik Bank Berhad (Then under Maybank Group and now known as RHB Bank). He was a Board member of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad and the Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) Group of Companies. While at Maybank Investment Bank, he was a key member of the 3-member Board’s Credit & Underwriting Review Committee.

Datuk Jamaludin Nasir served on the Technical Committee of the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA), an independent body that provides quality assurance and accreditation for the financial services industry, from 2013 to 2019. From December 2019 to June 2024, he held the position of Group Chief Executive Officer at MARC, where he successfully led the company’s 5-year transformation and growth strategy.

 
Currently, Datuk Jamaludin Nasir serves as an Advisor to MARC. He is also the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Bursa-listed Kotra Industries Berhad, where he also sits on the Audit Committee and chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Datuk Jamaludin Nasir holds an MBA from Laredo State University (now Texas A&M International University), USA, a Bachelor of Science, Finance & Business Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from Southern Illinois University, USA.

He has no family relationship with other Directors and/or major shareholders of the Company.
