Ramadan is a special month for Muslims, focused on fasting and reflection. As people adjust their eating and sleeping habits, it’s common to feel more tired and drowsy. This fatigue can be especially dangerous for drivers, as even a few seconds of microsleep can lead to serious accidents.

To promote safe driving habits and raise awareness of microsleep during Ramadan, the Group Health, Safety, Security and Environment and Quality (GHSSEQ) team organised a CSR initiative on 13 March 2025 to engage with highway users. The goal was to remind motorists, especially those sharing the roads with our trucks, about the importance of staying alert behind the wheel. At the Kapar Toll Barrier on the Grand Sepadu Highway in Klang, 15 Swift volunteers joined forces to make this event successful. They distributed pamphlets about Microsleep Awareness and gave out 750 servings of bubur lambuk, a traditional dish enjoyed for breaking fast.

Through efforts like this, Swift Group continues to prioritise road safety and community well-being, ensuring the spirit of Ramadan is not just about personal reflection but also about looking out for one another.
